Description:
An exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Quality Assurance Manager has become available to join our client based in Sydney.

Due to growth, they are now seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to join the team as they go through this growth phase.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring continuous improvement of the QMS, daily product quality performance and product quality and safety at the
facility
• Ensuring that all staff complies with good hygiene practices, SQF guidelines and customers’ expectations
• Creating, managing, and implementing regular reviews of Product Specifications, SOP’s and Work Instructions and
coordinating Monthly Quality Meetings
• Ongoing management, development, implementation, review and monitoring the SQF Food Safety and Quality System,
including verification schedules
• Managing internal, external, and third-party audits, managing non-conformances, and putting in place robust corrective
actions
• Conducting food safety and quality trainings including GMP/GHP, allergen, HACCP, and refresher training
• Communicating to relevant personnel whenever there is a change to legislation and essential information to ensure the
effective implementation and maintenance of the SQF Quality System
• Managing the approval of new suppliers and service contractors as stated in the Approved Supplier Program, ensuring
they meet the company''s food safety and quality standards, as well as maintaining up-to-date certifications and product
specifications for all raw materials
• Investigating and responding to customer complaints, as well as taking corrective and preventative actions when required
(both internally and externally).

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Microbiology, or other closely related field
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in food industry quality assurance and preferably in a high risk/high care environment
• Proven experience in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and continuous improvement as well as knowledge of
temperature-controlled storage environments
• Solid understanding and knowledge of HACCP, Preventive Controls, SOPs, allergens, product traceability, implementation
of a food safety plan, and other food industry regulatory requirements
• Sound knowledge of the SQF standard
• Attention to detail, time management, and analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; be coachable and have the ability to motivate and lead staff
