Our client is a food manufacturer who are currently experiencing a strong and prolonged period of growth due to innovation and their emphasis on quality. This growth has led to the need for a Maintenance Technician to oversee production line start-up and shutdown, whilst maintaining continuous operation throughout the day shift. The focus of this role will be to minimising downtime and upholding quality standards.

In this role you will be required to:
• Maintain production plant and equipment reliability
• Complete maintenance requests and perform planned maintenance checks and programs
• Design and fabricate jigs, tools, and fixtures as needed for production and R&D.
• Provide technical support and expertise to production and management.
• Assist in sizing changeovers of production machinery.
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance plant performance in safety, quality, environmental impact, security, and human relations.
• Support timely and budgeted new product installations, meeting production performance levels.
• Actively improve plant reliability and performance through innovative practices and capital installations.
• Ensure trade waste discharge meets system capability.
• Maintain a preventative maintenance program and ensure adherence to scheduled work.
• Ensure plant utilities, services, and facility comply with codes and regulations.
• Manage external contractor engagements whilst on site.

The successful candidate will exhibit:
• Trade of formal qualifications in a relevant Engineering discipline preferably within food or beverage manufacturing.
• Comprehensive understanding of preventative maintenance methodologies.
• Ability to make decisions
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Able to develop relationships across the business
• Show a proven commitment to continuous improvement.
