Public Sector specialists Osborne Richardson are proud to bring another exceptional role to market.A Local Council based in Brisbane's southern suburbs is seeking an Senior Project Communications Officer to join their team on an initial 6-month contract with extension possibilities.
The role will manage strategic community engagement and communications programs to support the effective delivery of road and drainage infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities will include:
- Manage the development and implementation of community engagement strategies and associated communications to support project delivery through design development, detailed design and construction phases.
- Responsible for the development of communications and community engagement activities associated with road infrastructure projects.
- Provide expert advice to divisional councillors and stakeholders with regard to the communications required to assist the design of the Capital Works Program.
- Provide strategic and tactical communication advice/input, including peer review of materials, in line with Council’s guidelines, policies and processes, approvals processes and preferred supplier arrangements.
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing or Communications coupled with substantial experience in the development and implementation of strategic and operational stakeholder engagement programs across infrastructure projects.
- Thorough knowledge of community engagement and experience in developing and implementing community engagement strategies across complex infrastructure projects.
- Advanced interpersonal skills and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate with influence and facilitate stakeholder meetings / events.
- Sound judgement and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to operate effectively within a political, corporate, business and community environments.
