Maintenance Planner - Food Manufacturing

Salary: Negotiable Location: QLD - Other Ref: NI/01075
Description: Our client is a leader in Australian food production who are seeking an experienced and organised Maintenance Planner to join their small team, based in Central QLD

This position is directly responsible for providing direction, guidance and scheduling to the maintenance teams (Mech & Elect) to ensure the safe and efficient maintenance and repair of the electrical and mechanical assets on site.

The role will also work closely with other areas of the business in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities in process, systems and equipment as well as manage nominated capital projects.


Summary of Duties:

-Responsibility for the development and implementation of long and short term maintenance plans for all mechanical and electrical plant and equipment
-Optimise plant safety, quality, equipment availability and reliability outcomes.

Experience:

A candidate with similar maintenance planning experience within the Food/FMCG industry would be preferable
Qualifications and experience in electrical and or mechanical trades (suit a maintenance tradesperson looking to transition into planning)
Good understanding of maintenance work management best practice and planning & scheduling procedures
Excellent communication skills and ability to apply these to managing and motivating other staff
Good knowledge of OH&S regulations
Knowledge of Maintenance systems such as MEX or SAP
Good problem solving abilities and clear thinking in a fast paced environment
