Drainage Engineer/Transport Planner
Our local council client located in Brisbane’s eastern suburbs are seeking applications from either experienced planners or drainage engineers.
Ideally you will be experienced in the delivery/programming of Local Government Infrastructure Plans (LGIP).
This role reports into the principal engineering city infrastructure planning and you will be employed as an Infrastructure Network Analyst.
You will be working on all strategic infrastructure network planning matters. In addition you will manage the strategic analysis of the performance of the infrastructure networks to achieve translation of the Community and Corporate Plans by:
Analysis of the performance of the transport, floodway, storm water and related Infrastructure networks; and
Developing networks plans and strategies including funding options that address network deficiencies, particularly in relation to continued development and growth of the city; and
Providing strategic infrastructure network advice to key stakeholders.
A Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent post graduate Transport Planning or Town Planning Degree and/or related Engineering discipline would be beneficial.
Achievement in effectively leading and participating in multi-disciplinary teams and/or inter-organisational, inter-governmental teams; proven project management and complex professional problem solving skills.
Demonstrated highly developed skills in and understanding of current and emerging issues and practices in strategic infrastructure planning, and knowledge of and achievement in network analysis and processes. This should be demonstrated through previous experience in development of transport plans, floodplain plans or equivalent.
Demonstrated interpersonal influence, consultation, negotiation and written communication skills to achieve outcomes acceptable to the organisation and community. Experience in development and monitoring of project plans and budgets. Developed organisational, time management and prioritisation skills to meet competing priorities in an autonomous environment.
Demonstrated research, analytical, diagnostic and problem solving skills and experience in the identification, investigation and evaluation of infrastructure planning issues and their relevance to community and organisation policy directions.
Our council client, can be flexible with work times and will consider applicants on a part time basis also. The salary will be negotiated upon qualifications and experience.
