Asset Engineer - Local Council
Osborne Richardson are technical specialist recruiters to local councils throughout Australia.
Have you been looking for a new role? Perhaps this is the "sign" you have been looking for. See how we engineered that into this advert? We must stop now, two puns in one paragraph is just too much for anyone to handle!
Anyway... moving on... One of Sydney's largest city councils are seeking an Asset Engineer for a 7 month contract and have approached us to assist them with this requirement - wise choice we say!
So what are we looking for?
Firstly - you must have experience in asset management including plans and strategies. If you have experience of working on traffic signage then even better.
Secondly - You must be able to use GIS software. You will be fully aware of the how asset management function and how the financial management of assets work together.
Thirdly - Contract management experience.
Lastly - You have to be a strong communicator, after all there is no point in having all this great technical knowledge if you can't share it with your stakeholders both verbally and written.
So if you are still reading this and thinking yes, that is me, I tick all of those boxes, then you will want to know what you will be doing for the next 7 months? Well let me tell you.
Firstly (Yes we started counting again, fourthly just sounds wrong) you will be rewarded with up to $570 per day for all the knowledge and experience.
Secondly and probably more importantly than all that money, you will be responsible for the asset management of the councils signage assets, ensuring the life cycle of these signs will pass all legal, regulatory and audit requirements.
You will build tools and systems to capture all of this data and ensure all maintenance of these assets are managed for the next 5 years.
Thirdly - Well I could go on and on about signs, but I think if you have this experience, you will already be excited about applying, so please do forward your resume to me as soon as you can. email@example.com
Please do ensure your resume demonstrates all of this experience, otherwise, how am I to know you are suitable for this role?
