Quality Assurance & Technical Manager

Description: We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance professional for a fast paced management role based an hour north in the Sunshine Coast’s picturesque hinterland.

• 1 hour from Brisbane Northern suburbs

This company has been experiencing a lot of growth recently and are in need of a Quality Assurance Manager who can provide both strong technical abilities and leadership.

With a strong history and a fast paced environment, you will have plenty to keep you busy and engaged from preparing for audits, staff management and assisting with compliance and regulatory matters. You will be leading a team of QA and QC officers to ensure the quality of all products; utilising your experienced staff you will ensure all GMP and HACCP checks are performed on a daily basis. You will also build strong relationships with production and operations to ensure everyone is working to a common goal of quality and safe products produced in a timely manner

You will be required to:
• Ensure compliance of the Quality Management Systems to the highest standard
• Manage all aspects of the HACCP program
• Lead & manage internal audits
• Manage other external certifications / audits and recall/traceability issues and investigations
• Ensure product specifications are current
• Manage any allergens and micro testing procedures
• Staff training in hygiene and GMP
• Work closely with production on product specifications and food safety
• Staff management – recruitment, training, development and discipline
• Provide the management team with detailed reports
• Ensuring that high quality standards are maintained at all times

In order to be considered for this opportunity you must meet the following criteria:
• Qualifications in Food Technology / Food science or a related discipline
• Strong experience in a similar senior QA role (Meat processing experience is required)
• Proven analytical ability and leadership skills
• Strong written and verbal communication
• High levels of attention to detail and strong communication skills
