Content & Assessment Writer (Assessment Specialist)

Salary: $45-$50 per hour Location: Queensland - Brisbane Ref: Assessment Specialis

Our state government client is seeking applications from candidates with demontrated experience as a Content & Assessment writer.

The Content and Assessment writer will work alongside content and industry experts to design and develop assessment tools for a range of qualifications delivered by the client.

Key responsibilities:-

Designing, developing and updating assessment  tools ensuring they meet the assessment requirements of the relevant Training Package or VET accredited qualification.
Contributing to the ongoing quality of learning and assessment resources by providing support and expert advice to Product Agency staff to respond to outcomes of the clients continuos improvement activities including audit and validation activities.
Support Product Agency staff to update assessment tools and related documentation in response to version changes to national accredited training packages and/or VET accredited courses.
Working effectively with key subject matter experts across industry areas to ensure assessment meets educator and industry expectations.
About you:-

One of the following training and assessment credentials is essential:

TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;
TAE40110, and
TAELLN411 or TAELLN401A; and:
TAE50111 or TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training;
TAE50211 or TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development.
We are also looking for candidates that have;

Good working knowledge of the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) guidelines, Standards for Training Packages, Standards for RTOs 2015 and able to interpret and understand Training Package or VET accredited qualification units of competency and assessment requirements.
Significant experience in designing and developing assessment tools, including questioning, written tasks, observation checklists, portolfio of evidence, third party reports and workplace simulations and associated mapping processes.
Experience in continuous improvement activities such as validation of assessment and academic audits.  
High level digital literacy skills, including the ability to create documentation using the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat (PDF) formats.

This is a 5 month contract position starting mid immediately.
