Are you an experienced QA professional ready to step into a leadership role with a high-performing food manufacturing business? This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Quality function and drive best practice across a large-scale operation supplying premium products to both domestic and international markets.

About the Role

As Quality Assurance Manager, you will oversee the site’s Quality Management System and lead a skilled QA team.

You’ll ensure compliance with customer, statutory and regulatory standards, while supporting operations to achieve efficiency, yield, and continuous improvement outcomes.

This role requires a strong leader who can balance compliance with commercial objectives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the QA function, ensuring effective quality systems are maintained
Oversee internal and external audits, customer requirements, and compliance programs
Respond to customer complaints with root cause analysis and corrective actions
Develop and coach QA staff to build a high-performing, compliant team
Partner with production leaders to drive process improvements and support operational goals
Report on quality KPIs, trends, and outcomes to senior management

About You

7+ years’ QA experience within food manufacturing, ideally in a senior leadership capacity
Tertiary qualifications in Food Science/Technology (or related discipline)
Proven track record implementing and maintaining robust QA systems
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
Results-driven with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

On this occasion, we are seeking a Social Planning & Community Development Specialist to join our colleagues in Manningham City Council in northern Melbourne. This role will be an ASAP start, before running until the end of March 2026. We readily expect the role to continue from there onwards but, as with all such roles, this will likely be dependant on continued funding.

In this role, you will immerse yourself in improving the overall reach of Council in improving wider health of the community in Manningham. In doing so, you will take on all manner of challenging and exciting duties including:

Applying community development principles to strengthen Council’s and the community’s capacity to understand and respond to the health and wellbeing needs of our community.
Provide appropriate supports, including specialist advice and guidance, collaborative planning, networking, community education and advocacy.
Planning, implementing and facilitating community development programs and initiatives that support Manningham to be a healthy and well community.
Contributing to the development of the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan (MPHWP) and implementing key actions contained within Action Plans.
Utilising well-honed project management skills to ensure consistent, high quality delivery.
Conducting research and analysis to inform Manningham Council’s health and social policy, planning and practice. This will include undertaking consultation and community engagement activities and reporting on research and community engagement outcomes.
Convening and/or representing Manningham Council on relevant networks and committees.
Acting as a champion for the health and wellbeing of the community.

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as health promotion, social planning, community development, or related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in community development and/or health promotion principles and practice, social research, analysis, policy development and community engagement .
Experienced in planning and implementing a range of projects that enhance community participation and achieve health and wellbeing outcomes.
Proven ability to build relationships, foster partnerships and encourage collaborative working arrangements with internal and external stakeholders.
Knowledgeable of demographic data sources available such as Profile Id and able to analyse and synthesise such data sources to inform social planning.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including reports and submissions for a range of audiences including but not limited to Councillors, executives, managers, Council officers and community representatives.
Excellent organisational, project management and time management skills.

On this occasion, we have a fantastic role with our great colleagues in the QLD Department of Primary Industries Chemical Residues testing/analysis team. In your new roles as Science Technician, you will be based at Coopers Plains in Southern Brisbane and join the current team until 30th June 2026 initially. From previous roles, we would be amazed if this opportunity did not extend onwards from there.

Being part of the Chemical Residue Laboratory team, you will provide scientific support to the Plant Biosecurity and Product Integrity Business Group. In doing so, your duties will include:

Working independently but under direction to deliver analytical chemistry testing services
Applying chemical techniques to enable the rapid and accurate quantification of insecticide residues in environmental samples
Accurately performing scientific tasks in accordance with existing standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instruction (WIs), protocols or methodologies to support the generation of valid data and ongoing compliance with the requirements of NATA accreditation, workplace health and safety requirements and legislative obligations
Participating in a multidisciplinary team and providing assistance to other areas of the laboratory at the request of the Laboratory Manager and Principal Scientist.
As relevant, tasks undertaken independently may include the following:

Maintain, undertake, check and arrange for calibration of laboratory equipment according to the equipment quality maintenance schedule.
preparing reagents
monitoring and managing the supply of consumable resources
cleaning work areas, equipment and materials
preparing, collecting and managing samples
ensuring sample integrity via appropriate sample preservation, handling and transport
performing tests and conducting analyses
measuring and collecting analytical data
recording and documenting data using defined systems and methods
other moderately complex scientific technical activities as directed

As they continue to strengthen their international operations, they are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Export Documentation Officer to support their export logistics function.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and manage sales and purchase contracts for export customers and suppliers.
Prepare and issue shipping instructions, including draft and original Bills of Lading.
Lodge export-related applications and documentation such as:

RFP (Request for Permit)
EDN (Export Declaration Number)
PRA (Pre-Receival Advice)

Coordinate and compile all required export documentation, such as commercial invoices, packing lists, health certificates, certificates of origin, and government documentation.
Ensure all documentation complies with DAFF, customs, and international regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate filing and record-keeping for all export shipments.

Logistics Coordination

Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, cold stores, transport providers, and internal teams to ensure smooth export movements.

The primary responsibilities of this role will include:

Develop and review procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Local Government Legislation and Statutory requirements.
Establish and rationalize key supplier agreements, identify new opportunities and implement improved processes to drive efficiencies.
Continuously improve the organisation’s procurement processes.
Minimise total costs to the organisation and maximize value add outcomes
Provide leadership and expert advice for procurement and contract management processes, including the development and communication of robust guidelines, procedures, templates, and innovations.

Drive procurement capability standards across the organisation, including ongoing training and skills sharing to enhance the capability of officers working within the procurement process.
Compile tenders and contracts documentation for high value / high risk projects.
Review Council's procurement spends, establish and implement procurement spend categories and identify opportunities to create value.
Develop, maintain and review Council’s contract management to ensure alignment with best practice service level standards for tendered operations.
Undertake a liaison with role with Council suppliers, particularly local businesses, to promote cost effective procurement opportunities.
Establish appropriate audit functions to continually review procurement activities to monitor and manager risk, legislative compliance and regularly report to Management.
Undertake a supervisory role of Council’s Contract Register ensuring all audit and statutory requirement are met.
Maintain a standard contract management framework and methodology and oversee deployment and implementation across the organisation.
Investigate, assess, and recommend methods for tracking/improving compliance with agreed procurement and contract management policies, procedures and frameworks.
Coordinate the maintenance of, and compliance with, approved supplier panels and annual supply arrangements.

To be successful in attaining this role, you will require:

Demonstrated experience in a senior procurement role preferably within the public sector.
A formal qualification in a related discipline would be highly regarded
A strong working knowledge of local buy, vendor panel and contract law in relation to procurement
Excellent experience in the preparation of contracts, tenders & evaluation processes.
In depth understanding of Local Government Act 2009 in relation to procurement and probity
Excellent reporting and analytical ability
Experience using applications such as Technology One
Excellent communication and engagement skills
