Description:
Our client is a leading food manufacturer in the Fresh Food/ FMCG industry, and they are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Technical Manager to join their team located in Sydney, NSW.

About the role:

Reporting to the Site Manager, this pivotal role will be responsible for the management of the QA and NPD teams and having total site responsibility for QA matters. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact through continuous improvement of process and product quality and is part of the Site Leadership team.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage the Quality Assurance strategy while
aligning with the goals of the business
• Oversee and conduct regular quality audits and ensuring compliance with
SQF and HACCP standards and prepare reports
and corrective actions
• Manage customer complaint investigations and lead investigations into
significant quality issues
• Developing and maintaining Quality Management Systems, Practices and
Plans to ensure the quality of all product
requirements
• Direct the NPD team in relation to EPD or continuous improvement and
provide support in execution of NPD projects
• Manage hygiene across the site to deliver safe and quality products
• Designing, developing, training, and maintaining best practice Quality
Systems for current and future needs.
• Liaise with key stake holders, customers, contractors, and third-party
auditors on a regular basis
• Stay current with industry regulations and maintain compliance with food
safety and quality standards

About you – Work Experience & Skills:

• Tertiary education in Food Science or demonstrated relevant experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in food safety and quality management
• Proven experience in management of a Quality team
• Technical training and accreditations
• BRC, WW, Coles standard requirements
• Experience of NPD management
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, interpersonal and analytical
skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
