Located in Melbourne, our client has been a cornerstone of Australia's food industry for decades. They are presently seeking a Maintenance Planner tasked with optimising productivity from the Plant and equipment while ensuring all operations adhere to company standards and safety protocols.

In this position, you will:
• Meet departmental budgets and KPIs.
• Ensure understanding and agreement on Key Performance Indicators.
• Maintain engineering stores and ensure availability of critical parts for maintenance activities.
• Support and enhance site maintenance strategy, reporting any deviations.
• Manage all aspects of the CMMS.
• Continuously improve preventative maintenance activities
• Plan maintenance activities according to strategy and available resources.
• Analyse historical data on machine reliability, budgets, labour utilisation, safety, and food quality to drive improvements.
• Adhere to WHS, EMS, COR, and Quality procedures, including permit and contractor management systems.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act as 2IC to the Maintenance Manager.

The ideal candidate will possess:
• Knowledge of food processing industry with planning experience.
• Proven track record in similar planning role with relevant qualifications.
• Ability to maintain positivity in high-pressure environments.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to make quick and concise decisions while focusing on performance.
• Goal-oriented with the ability to achieve targets.
• Excellent planning skills.
• Proficient in project management, especially for immediate issues.
• Advanced problem-solving skills with a focus on long-term preventative actions.
