Our public sector client is urgently seeking the services of an experienced Estimator to join their team in either south east Brisbane or Ipswich. This role will start immediately and run until the 30/06 with the possibility of an extension.

Requirements of Role

• Producing high quality estimates and quotation documentation for building projects, ensuring compliance with the State Purchasing Policy, Minor Works, local instructions and tendering and contract methods, and client requirements.
• Undertaking research and development in project planning, budgeting, estimating, programming, delivery processes and procurement practices.
• Reporting on relevant estimating projects and/or programs providing information on volume, requests, clients, locations, acceptance rates, costs, schedule of rates, margins, and productivity.
• Maintaining a healthy and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with current human resource practices and principles, including employment equity, anti-discrimination and workplace health and safety.
• Enhancing client relationships through effective communication, sound negotiation and the provision of timely, professional, competitive estimates.


Please note, the role is heavily administration-focused and requires a candidate who is proficient with computers. Additionally, someone with Contract or Tender experience would make an ideal fit.
