Inspection Project

Salary:
Per Inspection
Location:
VIC - Melbourne
Ref:
OM/InspectionProject
Description:
Osborne Richardson lead the way in the Environmental Health fields in Australia and right across the world. Hot on the heels of 25 years undertaking Environmental Health Inspection Projects in the UK, Osborne Richardson are now offering our amazing Inspection Projects opportunities for our Australian EHOs. This way of working is not like the rigid 8-5 framework you have known in the past. It is a completely flexible way of working where you only undertake the inspection and nothing else, you choose the days and hours you work and are paid for each completed inspection. This can be your only EH role or a side hustle from your substantive EHO position.

We are currently assisting several Councils in Melbourne with their own Inspection Projects which are scheduled to come online in the very near future. These projects will run for approximately 3-4 months in total, focusing on the inspection of several hundred food businesses predominantly but with a few skin pen and accommodation premises thrown in for good measure. We are therefore offering these amazing opportunities to EHOs who are seeking a different way of working. A parallel universe where you work to your own schedule, getting paid weekly based on inspections completed not hours worked, with all the excess noise cut out to allow the inspections to be your sole focus. In this respect, you will be able to avail of the following:

1. Instead of basic hourly pay rates, you will be paid a fixed sum for every inspection you undertake, regardless of time. This sum is a substantially higher rate than for standard EHO contract roles. How can we do this? Well, we are cutting out a large portion of Council costs through the efficiency of this way of working so we can pass this on to you.

2. Flexible working arrangements, where you can inspect premises at any time they are open to the public, be it weekends, early morning, RDOs, evenings, etc.

3. Control of your own days, where inspections are scheduled to fit your own timetable and availability. This means you don't have to work standard business hours or full days every day. As long as we are on track to meet the Project schedule, there will not be an issue when you work.

4. Full safe-working coverage provided through our WorkSafe Guardian App, call centre and lone-working policies.

Experience inspecting various categories of food premises in Victoria is obviously key here with this being the main focus of the Inspection Project and minimal training provided other than induction, etc. Start for these projects is scheduled to be ASAP so don't delay in hitting the send button to register your interest!! Don't forget, this way of working is rapidly becoming the norm so, get in now, and you will avail of all future opportunities.

Please feel free to touch base ASAP if you are interested in joining the next Osborne Richardson Inspection Project team. This continues to be the most popular new way in which Environmental Health contract work is undertaken so we would love to assist as many EHOs as possible by bring them along on the journey.
