Description:
We are searching for a Maintenance Supervisor for an exciting opportunity with this progressive Food Manufacturing business located in Sydney’s western suburbs. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager you will assist in the management of the plant maintenance by prioritising work requests, assisting with controlling costs and quality of work. Responsibilities include:
• Oversee daily processes and tasks of the Maintenance Department and drive best practice engineering at the site, ensuring maximised plant availability to meet the requirements of the business and customers
• Manage the maintenance program and complete all required documentation and data management - Ensure M+E database is maintained in a timely and accurate manner
• Ensure timely responses to work requests - Allocate resources appropriately
• Identify trends in regular maintenance issues and report to Maintenance Manager
• Liaise with key personnel to advise on work requests progress
• Minimise disruption to production by appropriately scheduling work requests / activities
• Enforce quality and customer service standards - resolve quality and customer service issues
• Observe current work practices and identify areas for improvement
• Benchmark resource requirements including time to complete tasks
• Drive performance, accountability and engagement within the Maintenance Team with a key focus on building capability
• Liaise with and supervise contractors as required
• Understand and comply with all company and legislative safety procedures and standards
• Support production and site activities to optimise productivity and minimise downtime
About you:-
• Trade qualification in relevant or related discipline
• Experience in mechanical and/ or electrical maintenance
• Demonstrable CMMS experience
• Quality and continuous improvement focused
• Experience in liaising with contractors and suppliers
• Demonstrated ability to be logical and decisive
• Highly motivated and self driven with outstanding attention to detail
• Experience within Food Manufacturing (this is essential, applications without this will not be considered)
