Osborne Richardson is delighted to be working with one of Australia’s leading food manufacturing companies who are currently looking for a Logistics Supervisor to join their Victoria based factory. The purpose of this role is to provide leadership for across the Supply Chain and to assist and supervise the logistics function on site as well. This is an excellent opportunity for you to make this role your own and become an integral member of this company’s Supply Chain team.In this role you will:
• Oversee the production flow through the Distribution Centre is efficient and timely
• Lead logistics department managing short, medium and longer term activity
• Oversee site inventory to deliver accuracy
• Provide support and on the job training to ensure adherence to SOPs
• Support a continuous improvement culture and lead all implementations of processes
• Collaborate and develop relationships with both Production and Operations as well as external providers
The successful applicant will have:
• Demonstrable experience in a supply chain/ logistics role at similar level
• Experience in a food manufacturing or FMCG role; chilled foods experience is highly desirable but not essential
• High attention to detail and strong communication skills (both written and oral)
• Demonstrable business acumen
• Hands-on leadership style and the ability to build and motivate strong and efficient teams
