About the businessOsborne Richardson are a specialist recruitment consultancy across Planning, Engineering, Compliance and Environmental Health to local government throughout Australia
Initially for 6 months with potential to extend this local council, a short journey North of Melbourne's CBD and accessible by public transport is looking for a Traffic Engineer. This contract is starting early March up until the end of August and is likely to be extended for the right candidate.
About the role
- Complete the relevant investigation of traffic/parking/street lighting issues including appropriate manual and/or electronic surveys, street lighting levels etc
- Design appropriate concept traffic management solutions (and other engineering designs, when required.
- Provide development advice regarding engineering issues to the planning department
Skills and experience
- A degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- A minimum of three years engineering (preferably traffic/transport) experience, with some exposure to local government.
- Proven experience in providing advice on proposed planning applications (desirable)
- Experience with computer aided design and drafting with GIS and AutoCAD (desirable)
