We are seeking a Senior Investigations Officer for Council's Construction Taskforce. This role will run for an initial 6 months from early January and will play a key role, assisting Council to build positive, ongoing relationships with local Developers/Builders in this fast-growing region. In building these relationships, the role will ensure that ongoing development does not pose a risk to the environment or the health of the community through advice, education and (as a last resort) enforcement. Duties will be widespread and fast-paced, including:

Identifying and assessing compliant and non-compliant development and building practices with reference to the Planning Act 2016, the Local Government Act 2009, the Environmental Protection Act 1994, the Waste Reduction and Recycling Act 2011, the Logan Planning Scheme 2015, and Council’s local laws.
Application of technical knowledge on development and building legislation and practices to make decisions about inspection techniques, relevant offences, and suitable penalties.
Applying technical knowledge of the development journey and contemporary development practices in the field.
Undertaking on-site investigations, gather relevant evidence, facilitate resolution of issues, and initiate prompt enforcement outcomes, if required, in accordance with legislation.
Modelling exemplary compliance with Workplace Health and Safety legislation when attending active development and construction sites, traffic areas, bush land, drainage and waterway areas.
Provision of clear and consistent advice and direction, demonstrating transparency, integrity and sound judgement.

If you think you can join this illustrious band of brothers and sisters, please ensure you review the following key criteria for the role closely:

Knowledge of the Planning Act 2016, the Environmental Protection Act 1994, the Building Act 1975, the Local Government Act 2009, Logan Planning Scheme 2015, Council’s local laws and associated codes, standards, and regulations. Knowledge of the building and construction industry, and the practical implications of development in the local community.
A tertiary qualification or sound prior experience in an area related to the development industry is highly desirable.
A proven track record in undertaking complex investigations, conducting research and drawing conclusions to support consistent interpretation of legislation, ideally in a Local or State Government environment.
Highly developed written and oral communication skills including the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships, negotiate and apply conflict resolution skills to influence outcomes at all levels.
Possession of a current 30215 General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) white card.

On this occasion, we have a Santastic opportunity to join the team at Logan City Council as Privacy Advisor on a role until July 2026.

In this role, you will compliment the existing team in Council's Corporate Governance Branch. In doing so, your duties will focus in on sensitively and confidentially case managing and providing quality advice on all matters associated with information access legislation, privacy compliance, review and ethical matters. This will see you:

Exercise delegated decision making power under the RTI Act, IP Act and Evidence Act.
Case manage applications made under the RTI Act, IP Act, Evidence Act, Notices of Non Party Disclosure, Subpoenas and Summons, whilst meeting all statutory obligations.
Case manage conflicts of interest and gift declarations, whilst meeting all statutory obligations.
Case manage privacy complaints, under the direction of the Program Leader.
Interpret and apply the legislation to the cases being managed, including knowledge and application of case law relating to the release of information.
Prepare a variety of correspondence, including decision notices under the RTI and IP Acts and correspondence to the Office of the Information Commissioner arising from external reviews.
Communicate with and provide general advice and assistance to Council officers and external stakeholders on information access legislation, privacy compliance, review and ethical matters.

Well-developed knowledge and extensive practical experience in dealing with information access legislation, privacy compliance, review and ethical matters
Demonstrated superior organisational, communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
The ability to case manage matters with tact, diplomacy and sensitivity and to the highest ethical standard
Demonstrated experience in assessing Right to Information, Information Privacy and Evidence Act applications, including the ability to interpret and apply the legislation relevant to a request.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (verbally and in writing), consult and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate and up to date documentation, records and files in accordance with processes and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality in a sensitive and complex environment.

This role plays a key part in maintaining safe, accessible and welcoming public spaces by combining enforcement with engagement and education.

This contract will run from January to March initially, with potential to extend beyond this and become ongoing.

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting visible street patrols to support community safety and public amenity
Enforcing Local Laws relating to public behaviour, including alcohol consumption in public places and obstruction of footpaths
Educating and engaging with community members to encourage voluntary compliance
Investigating complaints and responding to customer service requests
Issuing infringement and compliance notices where required
Maintaining accurate records, reports and diaries of enforcement activities
Preparing briefs and attending court as required
Working collaboratively with Victoria Police, Council contractors and external agencies

This position requires sound judgement, professionalism and the ability to deal calmly and respectfully with challenging or emotive situations.

About You

This opportunity would suit:

An experienced Local Laws or Authorised Officer seeking a new challenge, or
A candidate with a security or compliance background who can learn and apply local laws processes, or
Someone with a community services or community safety background who is confident supporting a street patrol program focused on education and compliance.

Satisfactory Police Check
Physical capability to undertake patrol and enforcement duties
Willingness to work rostered hours between 7am–7pm, including some overtime

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior NPD Manager to join a well-established and highly regarded food manufacturing business based in Sydney.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave, with a strong possibility of extension.

Reporting into the NPD leadership team, this role will see you leading a team of NPD professionals and managing the end-to-end delivery of new product development projects across retail and foodservice channels.

You will play a key role in commercialising new products, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, to budget, and in line with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of NPD professionals (3 direct reports)
Drive the delivery of NPD projects through a structured stage-gate process
Oversee technical, commercial and go-to-market aspects of new products
Manage cross-functional stakeholders including marketing, sales, finance, planning and production
Support the development and execution of the NPD pipeline across multiple categories
Present and support NPD initiatives with key internal and external stakeholders
Ensure customer, quality and compliance expectations are met

About You:

Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Business or a related discipline
Proven experience leading NPD or project management teams within food manufacturing | 3 to 5 years+ experience
Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Commercial mindset with strong attention to detail
Experience across retail and/or out-of-home channels highly regarded
