To be successful in this role, you will either hold previous experience as a Parking Officer within Local Government or have very transferable skills.

General duties and responsibilites in this role include:
- Enforce parking regulations throughout the city through conducting patrols and issuing parking infringement notices.
- Maintain and operate handheld devices/computers/body worn camera and other associated parking technology equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures processes and other relevant guidelines.
- Enforce and educate the community on issues relating to enforcement of parking regulations.
- Assist in the removal of abandoned vehicles as required.
- Report damage to Council assets, including damaged signs, incidents of graffiti and general items of infrastructure.
You should be able to demonstrate the following key skills, knowledge and experience:
- Knowledge of, or ability to gain the knowledge of the Local Government Act 1989, Road Safety Act 1986 and other relevant regulations, Road Safety Road Rules 2017 and Council’s Amenity Local Law.
- Experience in justice administration, public administration, law enforcement, customer service or other related fields.
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, including the ability to prepare letters, reports, memoranda and briefs of evidence.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills.
