The Content and Assessment Writer is responsible for ensuring learning and assessment resources align to the qualifications, unit requirements, legislative and industry requirements and standards for Electrotechnology (UEE) courses. While experience working in a VET environment experience is preferred, someone with experience as a technical writer in the electrotechnology/electrical space would be considered for the position.

The Content and Assessment Writer is responsible for ensuring learning and assessment resources align to the qualifications, unit requirements, legislative and industry requirements and standards for Electrotechnology (UEE) courses. While experience working in a VET environment experience is preferred, someone with experience as a technical writer in the electrotechnology/electrical space would be considered for the position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and update assessment tools ensuring they meet the assessment requirements of the relevant Training Package or VET accredited qualification; Principles of Assessment and Rules of Evidence, and TAFE Queensland’s training and assessment processes and practices.
- Produce assessment mapping and other ancillary documents and resourcesas required.
- Participate in validation of assessment tools prior to use.
- Develop, review and update learning resources that are well structured, accurate and stylised to meet approved guidelines and learning resource design principles.
- Make modifications to the resources based on the Quality Assurance/Validation/Vocational specialist process and respond to the feedback positively and promptly.
- Work with Product Lead / Product Coordinator to establish objectives, requirements, milestones and set mutual responsibilities.
- MANDATORY - Electrotechnology/electrical experience
- A demonstrated ability to develop valid and reliable assessment tools as well as associated documentation, by having a clear understanding of training packages, their components and requirements.
- A demonstrated ability to develop learning resources, ensuring content meets learningand teaching needs and reflects industry current practices.
- A demonstrated ability to build and sustain positive relationships with team members, stakeholders and clients by working collaboratively, operating as an effective team member and anticipating and responding to client and stakeholder needs and expectations.
