Osborne Richardson are delighted to be assisting a great team in a local council with a Coordinator Compliance Services. This will be a 3 month contract initially.
The Coordinator Compliance Services will be responsible for providing team leadership and delivery of the Council's compliance, and community safety, with a focus on customer service and legislative requirements. The Coordinator Compliance Services will lead a team made up of Local Laws Officers, Animal Management Officers, Parking Officers and School Crossing Supervisors.

The Coordinator Compliance Services will be responsible for providing team leadership and delivery of the Council's compliance, and community safety, with a focus on customer service and legislative requirements. The Coordinator Compliance Services will lead a team made up of Local Laws Officers, Animal Management Officers, Parking Officers and School Crossing Supervisors.
Key duties include:
- Supporting the implementation of change across the unit by actively participating in the change process, and involving team members in discussion and activity.
- Managing strategies, plans and operations to ensure they align with the established compliance framework and meet legal and policy requirements.
- Managing the legal process of enforcement, including collection of evidence, preparation of witness statements and brief of evidence and presentation to courts.
- Administering and ensuring compliance with the Council's obligations and authorities under Acts, Regulations and Codes.
We're looking for candidates who have:
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of budgeting, financial management and procurement.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks, setting priorities, organise and plan own work and delegate effectively to meet timelines despite conflicting pressures.
- Ability to gain co-operation and assistance from a broad range of internal and external parties, including members of the public.
- Ability to represent Council to a range of external stakeholders, government departments and other councils.
- Developed negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant enforcement and compliance fields and a broad range of Local Government enforcement experience is highly desirable.
