Osborne Richardson continue to bring exceptional Compliance and Community Enforcement roles to the market all over Australia and we are incredibly excited about a great Animal Noise Response Officer role in a council just South of Brisbane. This fantastic opportunity will run for up to 6 months, with potential to extend beyond this.
This position plays a vital role in maintaining city safety and liveability by enforcing responsible animal keeping practices and addressing animal noise nuisance complaints.

This position plays a vital role in maintaining city safety and liveability by enforcing responsible animal keeping practices and addressing animal noise nuisance complaints.
Key duties in this role will include:
- Responding to a significantly high number of customer requests by conducting investigations into complaints regarding barking and animal noise nuisance.
- Carrying out thorough history checks on properties to determine previous noise breaches and activity.
- Conducting monitoring of properties for alleged animal nuisance (noise or barking) including capturing observation and audio records using audio recording devices such as Noise Net.
- Providing clear advice to owners on their responsibilities to reduce noise nuisance.
- Maintaining clear and factual records that can contribute to legally enforceable compliance outcomes.
- Issuing correspondence, Advice Notices, Compliance Notices and Infringement Notices (supported by evidence).
- Delivering the highest quality service to stakeholders, including our community, the Animal Care team, other council staff and the council in a professional, courteous, non-judgemental and respectful manner.
- Actively promoting and supporting responsible pet ownership opportunities across the City.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills.
- The ability to use/learn relevant software and computer packages.
- Experience working with animals and understanding their behaviour.
- Enthusiasm for community work and an interest in local law enforcement.
