Render Supervisor – Export Beef Processing

A well-established export beef processor operating within a high-volume, high-risk protein environment is seeking an experienced Render Supervisor to join their operations team at their regional NSW site.

This role is critical to ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the rendering plant, overseeing day-to-day processing, people coordination, and equipment performance while maintaining high standards of product quality, safety, and housekeeping.

About the Role

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Render Supervisor will be responsible for:

• Supervising daily operations of the render plant and equipment
• Coordinating and overseeing render operators to meet production targets
• Managing start-up and shutdown procedures
• Monitoring render processes, temperatures, and product quality
• Load scheduling and coordination of finished product load-out
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping
• Conducting basic operational maintenance, inspections, and greasing
• Reporting equipment faults, quality issues, and operational concerns
• Ensuring compliance with WHS, food safety, and site procedures

Key Requirements

• Previous experience in food or protein processing, ideally within a rendering environment
• Strong understanding of render production processes
• Ability to supervise staff and work autonomously
• High attention to detail with a strong safety focus
• Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills

Mandatory:

• Q-Fever vaccination
• Food processing experience  

Highly Desirable:

• Previous render plant experience
• ARA Certification
• LF Forklift Licence
• Knife handling skills
