An average day as a Parking Officer looks like:
- Enforcing parking regulations throughout the city through conducting patrols and issuing parking infringement notices.
- Maintaining and operating handheld devices/computers/body worn cameras and other associated parking technology equipment.
- Enforcing and educating the community on issues relating to enforcement of parking regulations.
- Assisting in the removal of abandoned vehicles as required.
- Reporting damage to Council assets, including damaged signs, incidents of graffiti and general items of infrastructure.
To be considered for these exciting positions, we're looking for people with:
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills.
- A background in compliance would be advantageouus.
- Confidence in deescalating confronting situations.
- Great work ethic and ability to work as part of a team.
- Excellent fitness levels, as the role involves a lot of walking.
- Current driver’s licence.
