Osborne Richardson is delighted to be working with a fantastic local council to bring them multiple Animal Registration Officers. These positions will start as contracts until June 26 initially, with huge potential to be extended further.
The purpose of these positions is to protect Council’s revenue by keeping overdue and unpaid animal registrations down to the lowest practicable level.

The purpose of these positions is to protect Council’s revenue by keeping overdue and unpaid animal registrations down to the lowest practicable level.
General duties will include:
- Following up on overdue registrations and identifying new and unregistered cats and dogs across the City.
- Attending properties to speak with pet owners.
- Issuing infringement notices utilising the operation of PDA's.
- Collating and storing evidence in accordance with legislation.
- Promoting responsible pet ownership and voluntary compliance in all actions with customers.
Knowledge and Skills required:
- Demonstrated experience in working in a fast paced, results driven customer service role dealing with a diverse range of customers.
- Experience within a statutory or commercial revenue collection authority preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in dealing effectively with conflict situations arising out of customer interactions.
- Demonstrated high level communication interpersonal skills including the ability to:
- Negotiate, engage and present information clearly,
- Make prompt and reliable decisions within the bounds of allocated responsibilities,
- Communicate effectively with people at all levels and from all backgrounds, and
- Remain impartial, act tactfully and communicate with influence on sensitive/complex matters.
- Possession of a current "C" class driver's licence.
