We are currently partnering with a leading Australian food manufacturer to recruit an experienced Site Technical Manager for their large-scale, high-care production facility in regional Victoria.
This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving food safety, quality, and compliance across a fast-paced fresh food manufacturing operation.
Reporting to the Site Manager, with a dotted line to the National Technical team, you will lead the site QA function and ensure the effective implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Food Safety and Quality Management System.
You will play a key role in ensuring the site remains audit-ready and exceeds customer and regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop the site QA and technical team
- Take full ownership of the site’s Food Safety and Quality Management System
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, GFSI standards, customer, and regulatory requirements
- Lead and manage all internal, customer, and third-party audits
- Drive root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain audit readiness and ensure technical standards are consistently achieved
- Support NPD activities including trials, validation, and product launches
- Manage customer relationships and technical communications
- Coordinate training programs relating to food safety, GMP, hygiene, and quality systems
- Work closely with site leadership to improve operational performance and product quality
- Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or related discipline
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in food safety and quality leadership roles within FMCG manufacturing
- Strong working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, GFSI standards (SQF, BRC), and retailer standards (Coles, Woolworths)
- Proven experience managing audits, compliance programs, and technical teams
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management capability
- Experience in high-risk, high-care food manufacturing environments
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
