We are working with a local council to assist in their search for a Project Manager - Open Spaces and Infrastructure. This contract role will focus on the delivery of a range of Open Space and Landscape Infrastructure projects which will include playground installations, park assets/furniture installations, lighting installations, shelter installations, footpaths, drainage, landscaping.

Specifically the position will have responsibility for procurement for contractors, play a major part in the tendering process including evaluation, report preparation, and recommending the successful parties. Overseeing all contract management will also be an integral part of the role including financial reporting and risk assessments. The role will run initially for 6 months with a view to extend. 
  
To be successful in the role you will require:

• A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Project/Construction Management or equivalent with some relevant experience. Substantial technical knowledge and experience delivering civil infrastructure projects will also be strongly considered.
• Demonstrated technical knowledge in Civil Design, Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Project Management, estimating, specifications, tenders, contract administration, construction supervision and asset management.
• Experience in the delivery of civil and/or open space/landscape infrastructure projects including managing several complex projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of engineering design, traffic management, construction supervision and asset management systems would be advantageous.
• Current Driver's Licence.
