Maintenance Planning Engineer
�� South-East Queensland (between Brisbane & Gold Coast)
Our local council client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planning Engineer to play a key role in the planning and delivery of road and drainage maintenance programs across a growing region.
This is an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership-focused role where you'll influence asset management strategies, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to critical infrastructure outcomes for the community.
 
The Role
Reporting to the Principal Engineer, you will:
  • Develop and manage forward maintenance programs for road and drainage assets
  • Lead a small team of technical staff and inspectors
  • Analyse asset data and condition reports to inform works planning
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and service improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to contract management, specifications and tender evaluations
  • Provide technical advice and support to delivery teams
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement across maintenance practices
This role plays a key part in proactive asset management and long-term infrastructure planning.
 
About You
To be successful, you will have:
  • Degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong experience in road or civil infrastructure maintenance
  • Proven ability in asset management and works programming
  • Experience leading teams and managing stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with GIS, asset systems or similar tools (desirable)
  • RPEQ (or ability to obtain within 12 months) highly regarded
