Osborne Richardson is currently recruiting for multiple Local Laws and Animal Management Officer opportunities across regional Queensland, with both short-term contract and longer-term opportunities available.

These roles offer the chance to work with progressive local councils, supporting community safety, regulatory compliance, and animal management outcomes across diverse regional communities.

About the roles

Duties may include:

• Investigating local laws and regulatory matters
• Responding to customer complaints and community enquiries
• Conducting patrols and inspections across council areas
• Animal handling, impoundment and pound operations
• Issuing notices, warnings and infringement documentation
• Managing nuisance animal complaints and responsible pet ownership matters
• Preparing reports and maintaining accurate records
• Liaising with residents, stakeholders and internal council teams

About you

To be successful, you will ideally have:

• Experience in Local Laws, Animal Management, Ranger Services or Compliance
• Strong conflict resolution and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in the field
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and enforcement processes
• Current driver licence
• Animal handling experience
