About the role:

The organisation maintains an extensive services portfolio comprising of traditional and contemporary infrastructure services (e.g. desktop, productivity suite, email, secure access, networking, compute, storage data protection etc.) as well as an extensive application portfolio of business, clinical and integration applications. We operate in a federated environment providing services to the to several internal and commercialised business units. The role requires close collaboration and engagement across business and industry stakeholders to ensure the service portfolio aligns with business objectives of the organisation while ensuring relevant digital end to end services deliver value to our customers.

The organisation is undergoing significant and ongoing organisational change. This is a transformational and strategic role that spans traditional business functions across the business. Transformational change management, commercially oriented service leadership, communication and negotiation skills are essential. You will lead the implementation of services architectures focussing on, sustainability, transparency, efficiency, lean and agile principles, whilst maximising the services portfolio value to our customers.

Experience:

7 or more years experience in enterprise architecture/design within large, complex organisations.
Proven ability to provide strategic direction that enables the delivery of sustainable, value for money, fit for purpose services and technologies that meet the business requirements of customers
Proven ability to develop and manage stakeholder relationships, facilitate open communication, and capture and disseminate information.
Strategic planning capability to advocate for services portfolio and technology reform.
Demonstrated experience in delivering ICT services and solutions in a service provider or commercially oriented organisation
Ability to provide specialist advice relating to enterprise technology architecture, influencing the broader architecture, ICT planning and any investment activities.
Proven experience in developing, contributing to and review architectural strategies, mandated principles (standards) and roadmaps that meet the strategic requirements of the health system.
A deep understanding of public sector operations, (particularly within the health care context) and the challenges faced by public sector managers in the provision of services.
Strategic planning capability to lead, manage and advocate for business and system reform and to drive the adoptions of new services within a large, diverse and complex organisation.
Demonstrated analytical and interpersonal skills commensurate with a complex and fast evolving service delivery organisation, including the ability to communicate with clarity and influence across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
Manages resource requirements to ensure an appropriate balance between tactical and strategic demands

About the role:

This role reports to the Chief Digital Officer is responsible for the implementation and activation of Council’s IT Service Management (ITSM) and its related processes: Incident Management, Request Fulfillment, Problem Management, Configuration Management, Change Management and Knowledge Management.

Accountabilities:

Coordinate the operations of the Information Technology (IT) Help Desk team to ensure high-quality services to Council including compliance and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to management
Implement, operate and execute a range of ITSM processes interacting with other technical teams, Council employees, vendors and other stakeholders
Provide subject matter expert advice in IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and other relevant methodologies, perform analysis and establish frameworks, workflows, charts and diagrams defining systems capabilities and processes
Coordinate the completion of the Digital Services security and assurance calendar with the Governance Section
Manage IT licence allocations and alert management when additional or fewer licences are required
Ensure the high-quality delivery of services by the IT Help Desk with high levels of customer satisfaction and short resolution times on incidents and requests.
Provide high quality Digital services to the Mayor and other Councillors.
Provide expertise on escalation items from the IT Help Desk Team Leader for issue from the IT Help Desk.
Develop talent, foster learning and growth through mentoring and on the job training.
Develop and own the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes including Incident Management, Request Fulfillment, Problem Management, Configuration Management, Change Management, and Knowledge Management for Council.
Produce and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures, work instructions and other documentation.
Collaborate with product owners, system administrators, system engineers, developers, end users and vendors to ensure process compliance and utility.
Update and maintain the IT Service Management (ITSM) system, including identifying process improvements and self-service.
Oversee the completion of internal and external IT audits.
Coordinate the completion of audit actions with the Chief Digital Officer and other relevant stakeholders.
Chair the Change Advisory Board and other ITSM committees.
Manage the Change Advisory Board escalation process.
Manage and coordinate urgent VIP and complex issues.
Facilitate post-implementation reviews of changes and releases.
Escalate to the Chief Digital Officer if an unauthorised change is discovered.
Educate Council and IT on the Change Management and other IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes.
Report on Change Management activities.
Keep up to date with ITSM innovation and suggest and implement process/service improvements to Council.
Support Council meetings and other after-hours events.
Coordinate updates of the Information Security Management Framework
Work with stakeholders across Council on initiatives involving ITSM.
The management of volunteers if required by the role.

Experience:

Degree qualifications in Information Systems Management, Information Technology or a related field
In-depth experience implementing and managing ITSM processes in a similar organisation
IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3 Foundation
Demonstrated experience coordinating Information Technology governance and assurance activities
Current class C driver’s licence.
ITIL Intermediate certificate in Release, Control and Validation or Service Transition or Operational Supports and Analysis
Project management certification
Understanding of Microsoft operating systems, routing and telecommunications, enterprise storage systems, data centre operations and cloud systems.

This role will provide hours of approximately 29 per week as standard, Monday to Friday, with a pay range of between $50.31 to $63.83/hr + Super.

This role is a great long-term contract opportunity, running to end of March 2027, with the potential to extend even further. Working within Crop & Food Science/Agri-Science Queensland, you will be part of a passionate team that creates, translates, and embeds innovation in the Queensland agri-system through adaptive research, development, and extension leadership, ensuring Queensland, Australian and global consumers have access to safe, affordable, trusted, sustainable and nutritious products.

As Plant Pathologist, you will:

Work collaboratively within a team of scientists to undertake high-impact applied research projects on pathogens of cotton, based on industry priorities and departmental goals.
Conduct pathology diagnostics and assist in the management of the pathology diagnostic and
reporting service for cotton growers across QLD and NSW.
Provide scientific expertise in molecular biology techniques relevant to plant pathology.
Independently conduct DNA/RNA extractions, sequencing, LAMP assay, and PCR applications relevant to plant disease diagnostics. Oversee the daily operations of the molecular diagnostics laboratory.
Isolate fungal and bacterial pathogens from plant samples. Identification and characterisation of pathogens based on microscopy and molecular techniques. Curate and maintain isolates as
required.
Collate and interpret disease data, prepare and present research in high-quality oral and written form
to the pathology team, industry, peers and investment partners. Provide general pathology advice
and support to industry and communicate project objectives and outcomes as required.
Undertake research, development, and extension activities to deliver disease management solutions
to the cotton industry.
Assist project leader in planning field, glasshouse and laboratory experiments when required.
Develop, design, organise and conduct experiments on pathogens infecting cotton.
Inoculate experiments utilising laboratory techniques and evaluate disease across experiments.
Assist project leader in conducting disease surveys in cotton growing throughout Queensland.
Monitor the incidence and severity of endemic and exotic diseases within crops. Collect plant samples and soil cores suitable for laboratory diagnostics as required.
Build strong collaborative working relationships (using good interpersonal skills) with members of the pathology team and scientists from other DPI research centres, collaborating organisations, and industry. Work with minimal supervision.

What we need from you:

A degree in Agricultural Science or Science from a recognised tertiary institution or equivalent qualifications in a field relevant to this position.
Skills in laboratory, glasshouse and field research techniques relevant to plant pathology.
Scientific expertise in molecular biology. Experience in molecular plant pathology with demonstrated technical competence in the development and application of DNA based diagnostic methods.
Prepared to work out of ordinary hours and travel to regional locations as required by the work.
A valid “C” class vehicle licence.

About the role:

As the Senior Product Reporting Analyst, you will provide high‑level analytical and reporting support to the Product function, enabling evidence‑based decision‑making and effective governance across the product and project portfolio.

Working closely with Product Managers, delivery teams, Finance and other key stakeholders, you will analyse project delivery, financial and risk‑based information and translate complex data into clear, accurate and timely insights for senior leadership and Executive reporting.

This role has a strong focus on leveraging JIRA‑based project data, financial analysis and Power BI dashboards to support transparency, prioritisation and performance monitoring across the product portfolio.

Responsilities:

Provide strategic project and product portfolio reporting to support effective governance, decision‑making and accountability across the Product function.
Extract, analyse and interpret delivery data from JIRA to report on project progress, milestones, dependencies, risks and issues.
Analyse and report on financial reconciliations, budgets, forecasts and expenditure at a project and portfolio level, ensuring alignment between delivery and financial performance reporting.
Design, develop and maintain high‑quality Power BI dashboards and reporting artefacts that present complex project, financial and risk‑based information in a clear and accessible format for senior leaders and executives.
Prepare regular and ad‑hoc reports, dashboards and briefing materials for governance forums, senior leadership and Executive stakeholders.
Identify trends, variances and emerging risks across product and project data, providing insights and recommendations to support informed decision‑making.
