Description:
Our Local Government client located in Emerald is seeking a fantastic Senior Information officer to join their team.
Initial contract role with opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate.
Requirements:
• At least three years’ experience in Information Management.
• A well-developed understanding of legislative requirements relating to recordkeeping including the Public Records Act 2002
• Experience in managing the retention and disposal of corporate records in accordance with Queensland State Archives (QSA) legislation
• Extensive knowledge and experience in the development of policies and procedures within the recordkeeping and information management environment
• Minimum of Queensland C class provisional drivers licence.
• An understanding and knowledge of information security
• Experience in providing guidance and support to the organisation relating to recordkeeping practices and applying effective management of corporate information
• Sound written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and cloud-based platforms
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in groups as well as independently
• Experience supervising a small team within a medium to large organisation
