Senior Systems Officer
Location: Chatswood
Salary: $800 - $1,000 per day (PayG/ABN options)
Contract Duration: 6 months

Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Systems Officer with advanced technical expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure to join their team and drive the development of system architecture for critical state-wide network services.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, build, and operations of hybrid cloud solutions and serverless applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient, secure, and scalable service delivery.
Proactively manage internal/external stakeholders, ensuring high-performance and customer-focused solutions.
Drive the implementation of DevOps and coding standards across state-wide network services.
Oversee and escalate operational issues to maintain optimal network performance.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, Lambda, security groups, etc.).
Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS CloudFormation.
Advanced skills in CI/CD pipeline management (Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline).
Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Chef) and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
Familiarity with network protocols (MPLS, BGP, IS-IS) and modern DevOps methodologies (Agile).
Selection Criteria:
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in a large-scale IP network and DevOps environment.
