Senior Project Communications Officer

About the Role:
Osborne Richardson is a public sector recruitment specialist currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Communications Officer for our Local Council client. This role is based within the Council's Road Infrastructure Delivery (RID) branch, focusing on road and drainage infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement communication strategies for major road and drainage projects.
- Engage with stakeholders, including the community, to ensure clear, consistent messaging.
- Prepare and manage project communications materials such as newsletters, social media content, and press releases.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members, enhancing the overall communication output.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and engineers to ensure all communications align with project objectives.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in a communications role, ideally within infrastructure or public sector environments.
- Strong ability to create and manage communication plans for complex projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a broader project team.
- Familiarity with local government operations and public infrastructure projects is highly regarded.
